CURRICULUM

While many programs in elementary school simply say "be kind" or "don't bully", we give students easy, specific, proactive steps to show compassion. The concept is similar to what "Stop, Drop, and Roll" is for teaching fire safety awareness. 

The education initiative is targeted toward elementary-level curriculum and incorporates the SEE. STOP. START.™ method into four subjects: Guidance, Language, Art, and Music. 

• The program takes place during the course of one week, taking only one hour in each of the four subjects. This method allows for 1) repetition and reinforcement of the concept, and 2) the message to be delivered in a way to be absorbed by any style of learner: visual, auditory, or tactile.
• Activity kits for the students have been developed to make learning fun. 
• Videos are under development that will serve as a resource for teachers relative to how to teach the program as well as videos that can be incorporated directly into each unit of instruction.  

Research protocol including surveys and forms necessary to assess the effectiveness of the program have been developed and research pilot studies will begin as students re-enter the classrooms and complete instruction.
